Fargo. Where champions are made; and for some champions, their Fargo journey comes to an end. This is a celebration of all these young women have accomplished at the hardest national high school tournament. In this post, we'll also celebrate that they have decided to continue pursuing their wrestling career at the collegiate level. It's not easy, but thanks to tough athletes like this, women's wrestling will continue to grow at an exceptional rate. This list will not just include seniors, but some athletes that are still high school but have already made commitments.

University of Iowa
145 lbs. - Nora Akpan of Minnesota: Akpan earned 1st place and a national title after a dominating run, pinning and teching opponents left and right. She won her finals match by decision over Belicia Manuel.

135 lbs. - Brooklyn Perez of Arizona: DNP (went 4-2).
145 lbs.- Greta Brus of Iowa: Brus persevered after a quarterfinal loss to make it to a 3rd place match but was unable to capture the bronze. Brus placed 4th with a record of 6-2.
155 lbs. - Ella Poalillo of New Jersey: Poalillo was nothing short of excellent at Fargo as she made it to finals with nothing but falls and tech falls. She sadly was unable to capture the national title but returns home with a 2nd place medal.

115 lbs. - Camdyn Elliot of Florida: DNP (went 4-2).
155 lbs. - Bianca Connell of South Carolina: DNP (went 5-2).

155 lbs. - Sarah Henckel of Connecticut: Henckel showed she was able to show up and show out. Despite losing in the semis, Henckel came back and won a 3rd place medal.
207 lbs. - Phoenix Molina of Illinois: An absolute force, Molina was able to dominate her competition and earn 1st place and a stop sign.

95 lbs.- Francesca Gusfa of New Jersey: An absolute powerhouse, Gusfa was able to capture her 1st place title with ease.

207 lbs. - Deionna Borders of Ohio: Borders made it all the semis before losing to Molina. She was able to fight and wrestle back to win 3rd place.

110 lbs. - Eva Zimmerman of Utah: with a stunning record of 8-1, Zimmerman won her 3rd place match with a decision of 15-10.
110 lbs. - Julia Horger of Pennsylvania: Horger received 6th place with a record of 5-3, a fighting spirit until the end.
115 lbs. - Isabella Crompton of Michigan: DNP (went 5-2).
130 lbs.- Madilyn Peach of Wisconsin: After having a successful regular season, Peach was victorious and earned 1st place and a stop sign.
135 lbs.- Naima Ghaffar of Indiana: Another example of strength, Ghaffar was stopped short of a national title in the semi's but in dominant fashion, secured her 3rd place medal with a fall.
140 lbs.- Alexis Lazar of Michigan: An amazing wrestler, Lazar overpowered her opponents but was defeated in the finals by 3 points. Lazar walks away with a 2nd place medal.

110 lbs. - Kiera Partello of Florida: DNP (went 1-2).
McKendree College
120 lbs. - Marlee Solomon of Pennsylvania: Solomon will be a powerhouse for McKendree as she was an absolute unit at Fargo. Solomon won 1st place and it's fun to mention she had one of the quickest pins at 22 seconds.

155 lbs. - Eloise Woolsey of New Mexico: Woosley represented New Mexico well as she dominated her opponents and won 1st place.

130 lbs. - Martynique Davis of Arizona: Davis hit consecutive fall and after tech fall to make it to the finals, but she was unable to beat Carder. Davis walks away with a 2nd place medal.
